Ayam Brand™ Gives Back

Household name Ayam Brand™ marked its first charity campaign in Brunei with a fun-filled, hands-on event for members of Learning Ladders Society Learning Centre, Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam and SMARTER Brunei. The children learned how to prepare four Ayam Brand™ dishes for a nutritious Bento-style meal: Mixed Fruit Salad, Baked Beans, Heart-Shaped Sardine Sandwiches and Tuna Onigiri using the brand’s quality canned food.

Held at the Paddington House of Pancakes, the ceremony began with welcoming remarks by the General Manager of Borneo Division, Stanley Wang, who stated that the campaign’s goal was to promote healthier eating habits through its wide range of quality, healthy and halal-certified canned food, and to serve underprivileged communities.

As part of their charity campaign, the famous brand provided 21,600 healthy meals to daily residents of the three invited charity organizations for two months’ consumption, while the bento-making session hoped to instill independence and creativity among the younger generation by encouraging them to prepare their own meals.

One of the oldest consumer brands in Asia, Ayam Brand™ has been around for 120 years, and features well-loved products such as canned fish that ranges from sardines, mackerel to tuna, coconut, Asian sauces and pastes, and fruit and vegetables.
