Malaysian Designers at The Runway

The Runway began 2017 in style. Well-known Malaysian fashion designers Syomirizwa Gupta and Xema Su paid a visit to the luxury boutique to introduce their new collections and for a Made to Measure session with local customers.

The event kicked off with a Syomirizwa Gupta premiering his collections showcased at the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week 2016, while Xema Su introduced the public to her capsule collection La Nomade.

Further delights in the afternoon included a Made to Measure session for guests interested in custom-made outfits ranging from bridal wear to red carpet dresses, and high tea being served to mark the boutique’s first quarter milestone.

The Runway first opened its doors to the Brunei public in September 2016, with a mission and a vision to be a platform for local fashion enthusiasts and regional designers, while providing wardrobe staples at affordable prices.

In addition to the event last week, The Runway Are planning more Made to Measure sessions within the next few months with fashion designers such as PU3, Melinda Looi, Fuzanna and more, on top of promotions for Hari Raya Aidilfitri and His Majesty’s birthday celebration.

Nora Noor, CEO of The Runway, opened the boutique to provide convenience toward local customers who frequently maximize their budgets through flight tickets and accommodation for appointments with their choice of designers. “In order to lessen the hassle, I decided to establish this for our clientele to save money, time and energy,” she explained.
