The OzSports Festival is almost here, folks! Pile your young ones into the car bright and early Sunday morning and get ready for a whole lot of sporting fun in this family-friendly event.
Open to the public and free of charge, the OzSports Festival will be held on Sunday, 26 March 2017, as a part of the Bandarku Ceria festivities. The event will give children a chance to try out a wide range of sports all in one location. On the field your child can partake in activities such as mountain biking, functional fitness, hockey, ultimate frisbee and parkour, dodgeball, rugby, football, basketball, netball, tennis, T-ball and climbing – and if you’re a parent and warning signs are popping up after reading all those sports, not to worry, all these sports will be modified to be safe and accessible for little ones.
That’s on the field. There’ll be plenty going on at the grandstands to keep the adults occupied, with vendors such as the Royal Brunei Recreational Club, Fitness Zone Brunei, Energy Kitchen, Jerudong Park Medical Centre, Burger King, and others!
The OzSports Festival will be located on the Jln Pemancha side of Taman SOAS (just look for the flags and OzSports signs!). Registration will start at 7am, and children will be placed into groups and rotate from sport to sport to ensure each child gets a shot at trying each sport. There will also be prizes and giveaways!
The OzSports Festival is organized by Australian High Commission in Brunei Darussalam together with Sports Camps Australia and a range of local partners.
