Luxury optical boutique Optic King now has a space on the first floor of The Centrepoint, Gadong. Optic King opened on April 15, Saturday, with an official launch ceremony officiated by the guest of honour, Muhammad Jamari bin Dangat, who is the President of the Brunei Darussalam National Association of the Blind (BDNAB). After a welcoming speech by the director of Optic King, Chua Yushi, she presented a donation box that would be placed at the boutique’s counter to collect donations for the visually impaired, to the guest of honour and they proceeded to cut the ribbon together to symbolise the opening of the boutique.

Optic King is your local purveyor of designer eyewear with famous brands like Burberry, Givenchy, Tiffany & Co.  Oakley, RayBan, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Prada, Emporio Armani, Givenchy and many more luxury labels. They will soon be offering Gucci and Adidas and it will be an exciting addition as their latest collections have many unique designs coupled with comfort and quality. They believe in listening to customers and strive to carry the range of eyewear that they desire. They also offer quality ophthalmic lens brands namely Essilor and Nikon, which incorporate new optical technology catering to different visual needs. Their lenses carry benefits such as UV protection with up to 50 E-SPF, anti-glare with wave technology that eliminates lens surface distortions by being digitally made individually, anti-dust, anti-blue light for regular computer and mobile phone users, and even water-repellent lenses.

They are also the first optical store in Brunei with an in-house Bruneian optometrist, Dr. Hamizah Binti Haji Osman, who was trained in the U.K. at the University of Manchester, so you don’t just get spectacles and lenses, you can get an eye-health check up and review by a qualified optometrist. Optic King is equipped with advanced opthalmic instruments that can carry out in-depth sight examinations and their optometrist will be able to advise you on the most suitable visual enhancement that is right for you.
