For the first time ever, ‘Dinner in the Sky’ – the extreme gastronomical experience – has landed on the shores of Kota Kinabalu and will be hovering over the Sutera Harbour Resort for the month of August!
‘Dinner in the Sky’ is a concept that has brought fine-dining to a whole new level. Using a crane to hoist diners, table and waiting staff 150 feet off into the air, diners can enjoy an amazing bird’s eye view while tucking into an exquisite feast. In Kota Kinabalu, Chef Danielle Rossetto from Ferdinand’s – listed as one of Malaysia’s best restaurants by Malaysia Tatler – will be serving a special-made Italian menu just for this event.
This innovative Belgian-based experience has hosted more that 5,000 dinner events in 40 cities around the world, and has been hailed as one of the world’s Top Ten most unusual restaurants. Currently only available in Malaysia in the Southeast Asian region, notable Malaysian celebrities who have dined in the sky include Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza, Dato’ Lee Chong Wei, Erra Fazira and Amber Chia.

This one-of-a-kind experience is priced at only RM349 per person (and RM399 per person on weekends, inclusive of a printed picture worth RM39) which includes a 3-course dinner.

‘Dinner in the Sky’ observes safety measures at the utmost level. Seated guests will wear safety belts, and the standing presenter and crew are secured by safety harness at all times. Prior to the flight, a safety supervisor will brief patrons about all the safety regulations and will be in constant communication with the crane operator and ground crew to ensure a smooth experience. The experience has been approved by TÜV SÜD, the German organization that validates the safety of products of all kinds to protect humans and the environment against hazards.
