The Australian High Commission Presents Matthew Doyle
Brunei

Venue: The Collective Makerspace, Batu Bersurat, BSB, Brunei

Sydney-born Matthew Doyle is a descendant of the Muruwari People from Northern New South Wales, who has toured extensively in Australia and abroad. Experience this indigenous performing artist at The Collective Makerspace and learn more about Australian Indigenous culture through his music. RSVP is required.

The Rungus Antique & Art Exhibition
Sabah

Venue: Bavanggazo Rungus Longhouse, Matunggong, Kudat

This two-day exhibition that will take place at the Bavanggazo Longhouse will feature an array of activities including a traditional Rungus fashion show, a traditional handicraft exhibition and performances by the Rungus people, which you can enjoy while sipping on a special brew called Kinomol.

Festival Tutongku Ceria: Tutong Regatta
Brunei

Venue: Tutong River, Tutong, Brunei

Come down to Tutong to experience this thrilling boat race, which will have participants from Brunei and neighbouring countries paddling to the finish line.

DST Carnival
Brunei

Venue: Jerudong Park Playground, Jerudong, Brunei

Expect another fun-filled DST Carnival at Jerudong Park Playground with exciting activities, tournaments, games and DST promotions and services, along with interesting vendors to browse.

Paintball Target Shooting
Brunei

Venue: Across four districts throughout the month of December

Form a group and take no prisoners. The Paintball Arena @ Jerudong, run by Royal Brunei Technical Services, will be taking the battle with paint across four districts throughout the month of December. Starting off in Tutong from 8 to 10 December, choose your faction, gear up, and start having some fun.

Sabah Land Rover Jamboree
Sabah

Venue: SLRC Keningau Basecamp, Sabah

An annual off-road adventure weekend that celebrates the heritage of Land Rovers in Sabah, this three-day event will have fun filled activities for the entire family while Land Rover owners create friendships and cultural exchanges over their shared love of Land Rovers, all in the great outdoors. There will also be 4×4 fun-driving and safety-handling skills demonstrations taking place.

Auto Fest
Brunei

Venue: Jerudong Park Amphitheatre, Jerudong, Brunei

Slap another layer of wax on that beautiful car and get ready to show-off, this is an event for the car lovers. The two -day event will showcase the automotive scene in Brunei, and if that’s not your thing not to worry: there will also be games and activities, and vendors offering automotive merchandise along with food & beverage.

The Nyirik Night Run 2017
Brunei

Venue: Tutong Town, Tutong, Brunei

The first night run to be held in Tutong Town, the Nyirik Perabang Lema (Tutong dialect which translates to Nyirik Night Run) will have participants running through the charming town of Tutong at night in three categories: 5km Open Category for runners aged 18 years and above, 5km Veteran category for runners aged 45 years and above, 3km Senior Category for runners aged 65 years and above, and a 3km Family Fun Run for all the ages. There will also be a Lucky Draw to win a one-return trip ticket to Seoul, Korea.

Miri City Christmas Parade 2017
Sarawak

Venue: Miri City Fan, Jalan Kipas, Miri, Sarawak

This is the tenth parade in a series of crowd-puling events that features the combined effort of the Miri City Council and 15 churches from around the city. The Parade will begin at the Miri City Fan and the route will cover main streets in the Miri City Centre.

9 – 10 December

Copa De Borneo
Sabah

Venue: Main Atrium of Star City Mall, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

The biggest Grappling competition in Borneo that will feature a combination of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Brazilian Luta Livre. Expect fights between international Brazilian black belts and brown belts, while interested contenders can participate in adult men & women and kids categories.

10 December

The Nyirik Culinary Challenge
Brunei

Venue: Tutong Waterfront, Tutong, Brunei

A competition highlighting local amateur chefs and delicious traditional kueh of Brunei, this is something no foodie should miss. Get your apron on and start baking, and bring your kueh to the venue competition to be judged. The Nyirik Culinary Challenge will travel across all four districts, starting with Tutong on 10th December.

KK Christmas Celebration
Sabah

Venue: Padang Merdeka, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Pesta Rumbia

Christmas Celebration in Pitas

Brunei Off-Road Challenge

Amateur off-roaders get a chance to participate in this four-day event in two categories: the 4×4 Amateur Challenge and Tag On Expedition.

Festival Belaitku Ceria: Cycling Expedition
Brunei

Venue: Kuala Belait, Belait, Brunei

Organised by the Brunei Darussalam Cycling Federation and the Ministry of Health, the competition will begin at Kuala Belait and end at Bandar Seri Begawan, going through the main roads with many stops along the Belait and Tutong districts.

Festival Bandarku Ceria: Festival Seni Bela Diri Brunei

Venue: Taman Hj Sri Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien, Jalan Sultan, BSB, Brunei

The biggest ever martial arts festival to be held in Brunei, expect demonstrations and information on martial art forms such as Silat Gerak 41m Kempo, Karate, Wushu, Muay Thai, Wing Chun, Kendo, Hapkaido, Aikido and Tae Kwan Do, which performances from local and neighbouring states including a special silat demonstration by Eman Manan and Abby Yus.
