Feeling the Rush with the Toyota Rush

Feeling the Rush with the Toyota Rush

The Toyota Rush is engineered for robustness and designed for practicality with a spacious interior and high seating position providing a more extensive view for a smooth, comfortable and easy driving experience whilst elevating any lifestyle with its gallant look.

Built with rear-wheel drive for a greater variety of terrain conditions, it offers better traction for uphill climbs when carrying heavier loads, making it the ideal SUV for any rugged course ahead.

The exterior:

The newer model maintains its sleek body design to win mass appeal over the expected big-built designs of an SUV.

The LED headlamps are bright and intense and its streamlined position complement the sporty front design while increasing road visibility, whereas its tougher backside is enhanced perfectly with the help of stylishly designed rear combination bright LED lamps. The fog lamps offer additional safety support by illuminating the edges of the road to help the driver make safe progress during foul weather.

The Rush is built with a rear roof spoiler with a high mount stop lamp, enabling cars following from behind the ability to see when the driver is braking from a distance.

It also features a good 220mm of ground clearance, allowing a worry-free off-road driving experience on undulating terrain.

And it’s interior?

A spacious dream with a premium look and feel that comes with high value-added features, and a two tone interior design concept that conveys a clean and sporty high-end quality finishing. And there’s no danger of getting hot in here: the SUV is also equipped with front and rear air-conditioning with adjustable rear cooler mounted in the rear ceiling providing comfort for all passengers.

Both the mid and high spec range includes innovative and convenient features that include the push-start button.

The SUV’s tagline is Thrill for Seven, giving away the seating capacity with a 2-3-2 seating layout over three rows that can comfortably seat adult occupants (which perhaps accounts for the fact that the car comes with 13 cup holders), and yet still have ample width and height space for plenty of cargo.  For a bigger cargo load, its double-folding seats offer the option of a multipurpose use for greater SUV enjoyment. That said, the cargo capacity is 217 litres but when required, the volume can be expanded to 514 litres by folding the rear seats – a good capacity for large objects not exceeding 50kg.

And if it wasn’t already obvious, while the single and free could absolutely make great use of this spacious car, it’s also a great safe vehicle for the family. Along with the six SRS airbags are fitted in both the front and side seating areas, as well as SRS curtain-shield airbags, the Rush also has a Hill-Start Assist Control (standard across all variants) which helps in preventing the vehicle from rolling backward when on a steep of slippery incline.

The combination of advanced safety systems plus computer-aided engineering and design has enabled the Toyota Rush to score the highest overall rating of 5-stars from ASEAN NCAP (for both Adult & Child Occupant Protection categories).

The Toyota Rush is powered by the 1.5-litre in-line 4-cylinder petrol engine with Dual Variable Valve Timing-Intelligent (VVT-i) to provide enough power and good fuel efficiency.
