This year’s Car, Urban & Lifestyle Trends (CULT) Show at the Sabah International Convention Centre brought almost 30,000 visitors to the annual event, with organisers calling the 30% increase in attendance a great success in helping put the Bornean event on the international map of car shows.
“We welcomed international media from the U.S, Japan, Thailand, Singapore and Brunei (and) with a combined social media coverage of over three million followers, this will propel CULT into the international arena. World famous media outlets are all set to tell Sabah’s Car Culture stories to the world,” stated a press release from CULT organisers.
Motorheads certainly got their gears going thanks to the awesome number of displays and rare exhibits at the show, 189 cars encompassing all categories were displayed at the indoor area, including a famous Mitsubishi Triton Exterminator from Johar and a full v12 replica of Paul Walker’s R34 from the Fast & Furious movie franchise. Brands BYD and BMW also made sure to showcase their Electrical Vehicle models to attendees.
Outdoorsy types appreciated the vast Overland and Camping showcase section and of course, no car showcase is complete without a vintage collection section. On top of this, huge prizes were won in the event’s lucky draw where someone went home with the grand prize of a Padem AE70 vehicle produced specially for the show and valued at RM55,000.
CULT returns next year so make sure you lock it in your calendars!
