NYONYA RESTAURANT
Among some Asian favourites is the Buttermilk Chicken, where the chicken pieces are drenched in a sweet and creamy buttermilk sauce. At Nyonya Restaurant, the Buttermilk Chicken is their pride and joy as they create their homemade buttermilk from scratch using a special recipe. Don’t forget to finish off your meal with their refreshing Ice Jelly Special, to wash it all down and cool off! Head on over to their Gadong branch or their new branch at Setia Kenangan, Kiulap, and make yourself at home with Nyonya.

SISU CAFÉ
This fusion concept of café has a changing menu designed by the owner’s own cravings or culinary explorations and travels. Sisu gained recognition for their rendition of Miso ramen topped with a Chicken Ballotine, and you’ll find these combinations of Asian-Western influence throughout every menu iteration. Most recently, Sisu’s exciting weekend Omakase menu takes the refined tasting menu concept from Japan and flips it on its heels. The five-course meal included a whirlwind tour of world flavours with dishes like bright and cheerful Nori Masala covered fried, Charcoal knäckebrod with maple infused cream and fruit, and Chawanmushi Lohiketto. And there’s good coffee. Need we say more?

SAMBAL PUSU BABU
If you want Nasi Pusu with something a little more special, why not try some from Sambal Pusu Babu? Started in 2009, Pg Hjh Aidah was inspired by her late mother’s cooking, which always included the sweet-spicy ‘Pusu Mayang’ and her sambal became so popular that she started selling it from home, while her daughter would sell it at school. They now have their roadside stall which sells heaps of their famous bungkus (wrapped rice) complete with the chunky sambal and chicken daily!
