In honour of the World Cancer Day, blood donors stepped up in Fitness Zone’s annual blood donation drive campaign earlier this year. The Health Club aims to amplify awareness , as well as actionable support through its blood donation event, in conjunction with the cause. Reaffirming commitment to the global fight against cancer, Wu Chun, the Managing Director of Fitness Zone, has been appointed as the ambassador of Goodwill and Messenger for cancer awareness by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC). “Cancer is a disease that knows no boundaries, affecting millions of lives worldwide. As an ambassador for cancer awareness, we recognise the importance of early detection, prevention and support for those battling cancer. Through this initiative, we want to inspire individuals and communities to come together, support one another and contribute to the fight against cancer.”
In addition to raising awareness, Fitness Zone believes in the power of giving back. The blood donation event put actions to this belief, providing an opportunity for individuals to make a tangible difference in the lives of cancer patients and others in need. “We all have a role to play in the fight against cancer,” said Wu Chun. “Through awareness, education and support, we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by this disease. Together, we can create a world where cancer is no longer a threat.” The blood donation event took place at the Fitness Zone Kiulap branch. The event is annually open to members of the largest health club in Brunei and general public, to donate and make a difference in the lives of those in need.
