Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam, Prof. Dr. Achmad Ubaedillah, said “We are thrilled to welcome the launch of Indonesia AirAsia’s direct flights between Jakarta and Bandar Seri Begawan. This initiative will bolster bilateral relations between countries, enhance people mobility and unlock new opportunities in the economic and tourism sectors”.
The move is anticipated to improve the two countries’ cooperation for increased arrivals of tourist to both countries with Prof. Dr. Achmad Ubaedillah adding that the Jakarta-Brunei direct route would give wider opportunities for Indonesia and Brunei to elevate economically and culturally. It also acts as a great transit point for travelers to connect to popular Indonesian destinations such as Labuan Bajo, Bali, Lombok and Lampung.
