BiG Buzz : Future Ready Cloud Day 2024

 

The Future Ready Cloud Day 2024 kicked off on a high note October 16 at The Indera Samudra Hall, The Empire Brunei which was co-hosted by Comquest in partnership with Bahwan CyberTek (BCT), Amazon Web Services (AWS) and WestCon. The event drew the attendance of 80 guests, bringing together IT professionals and executives in a workshop centered on Cloud technology and its active function in a digital world.

Present as Guest of Honour at the event was Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) Ir Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusuf. Upon his arrival, Gaurav Shrotriya, General Manager at Comquest delivered an opening address highlighting the critical role of Cloud in our rapid move towards digital advancements.

With an objective set towards unlocking the potential of Cloud and how it can be leveraged in several aspects of Digital Economy, the Future Ready Cloud Day 2024 saw a keynote Ullrich Loeffler CEO at Ecosystm, centred on how Brunei can navigate the Cloud for a Future Ready Economy. Julian Lau, Head of Emerging Market at AWS later spoke on how AWS can be leveraged to ease digital transformation within businesses — both sparking conversations on Brunei’s own digital roadmap.

Following that, a Panel Discussion themed “Cloud as a Catalyst: Securing Brunei’s Digital Future” took the stage, seeing representatives from Authority of Infocommunications and Technology Industry (AITI), Brunei Innovation Lab (BIL), Bahwan Cybertek (BCT), Ecosystm and AWS. The event concluded with an insightful Q&A from the participants and a presentation of tokens of appreciation to the Guest of Honour, Speakers and Panelists.
