Invited guests were thrilled with the opportunity to meet with famed Filipino lighting designers, Venzon Lighting, at a dinner event hosted by the Ambassador of the Philippines Embassy in Brunei to promote the lauded Filipino design and interiors expo, Manila FAME. Her Excellency, Marian Jocelyn Tirol-Ignacio, said in her welcoming remarks, that she hoped the evening would “be the start of new collaborations, new networks, and new opportunities to bring the beauty and brilliance of Philippine design to Brunei and beyond.” A local developer present said that he made it to last year’s expo, and was looking forward to seeing what the 2024 showcase would feature. “It’s so massive, there’s just so much stuff. Tou really need the time to go around and look — and i suggest to anyone going, even if it’s just to see what’s out there and be inspired creatively — get the VIP packages because it’s really worth it and saves you time.”
The dinner event brought together various esteemed members of the design, architecture and development sectors, who happily took the opportunity over dinner to speak with Jackie and Cris Venzon. The husband-and-wife duo have a combined experience of over 30 years in lighting design, engineering and manufacturing , and have award-winning designs such as the ‘Infinity Pendant’ from their Cherry Blossom collection — a version of which was present to view during the event. Manila FAME takes place on October 17-19 at the World Trade Centre in Pasay City, Philippines.
