Celebrating Ramadan & Hari Raya with The Colony Tearoom
Ramadan Buffet 2017
Enjoy your own private Sungkai event with family and friends in the comfort of the sophisticated colonial-style settings of The Colony Tearoom! The recently-expanded café is launching an exclusive Ramadan Buffet for private parties in celebration of the upcoming fasting month, serving up favourites from The Colony and Frangipani Café such as Chicken & Lamb Mandi, Shepherd’s Pie, Lasagna and Asian choices such as curries, korma and black pepper beef, and not to mention their trademark yummy desserts.
The buffet is for a minimum of 10 pax and a maximum of 30 pax from 6pm-8pm, priced at BND15 per adult (BND9 per child).

Hari Raya Gift Sets
The Colony is also launching its 2017 Hari Raya Gifts Sets, featuring beautifully packaged sweet and savoury treats that will make perfect Raya gifts this year, available in two gift sets:
- The Purple Gift Set is available at BND30, and is an elegant collection of four handmade sweet and savoury treats presented in airtight glass bottles encased in a gorgeous purple box.
- The Gold Gift Set is available at BND50, and is a set of three handmade sweet and savoury treats presented in gold-topped large bottles encased in a handsome gold box.
Customers may choose from five preservative-free sweet and savoury handmade treats, all locally made with quality ingredients:
- Tart Nenas/Pineapple Tarts – perfect for any festive occasion
- Kue Mor made from an old family recipe
- Spicy Peanuts adored with curry leaves, chilies and anchovies
- Crispy Popia with prawn floss filling
- Earl Grey French Blue Shortbread which marries their bestselling Earl Grey French Blue Tea by marriage Freres with buttery melt-in-your-mouth shortbread
The Colony also accepts request for customized Gift Sets where customers can choose from any of the above-listed selections of treats. However, those interested are advised to do so before the second week of Ramadan to ensure requirements are met.
